Hide And Seek: Final Blog

Image
Overall, this experience of creating this final task was great. When we first started, I thought the project was going to be very stressful and a lot of work. I didn't think it was going to be any good and I wouldn't have fun making it. But as we shot and edited our project it turns out I was having a lot of fun and I was not stressed at all. By far I think the hardest part of the experience was the special effects. I had a lot of trouble making the special effects look good and it took many trials. It took me even two days of trials to make it not look bad. We changed a few things from what we originally planned as well. We changed some of the lines in the script and how some of the shots turned out. Overall, we all had a lot of fun, and we are excited to show people our final product.

Finally Done

Today we finally finished our final task. We spent the day putting our last finishing touches on it . After the finishing touches we think our final product turned out really good. I am very happy with the final product . Even though there’s a few things we could have done better I’m still happy with the product. All our hard work payed off. It feels very good to finally be done with this. A lot of time went into this project so it’s very rewarding to be done. All of use were even surprised with how well it turned out. We are all very excited for other people to see this. We are very proud of ourselves and want people to watch. I can’t wait to show all our friends and family. I think they will enjoy it as well. Most importantly I am excited for this project to be reviewed and graded. I think we will get a good grade because of the contents of our film. This is very exciting and I will definitely remember this. Overall it was a very fun experience. It was nice to make a project regardi

Production Blog: Self Review

Image
Today I decided I was going to self review my own film. I looked very closely for any flaws in the final task. After a couple times of watching , I spotted a couple. All of these flaws could be fixed with editing. They had to do with the after effects of the task. The first one had to do with the sound. It was the music that was throwing me off. I realized the choice of music could be a bit better. I looked back at some other music choices I had made and decided there was a better choice. The music that was currently being used didn’t really create the scene I wanted too. But this new choice did. So, I ended up replacing the old music with the new music I decided on. I also realized another issue. There was an issue with the titles screen. It also didn’t really fit what I wanted the scene to be. I then realized it was the font that was throwing me off. I decided to change the font and see if it was any better. I changed it a couple times and realized one of them was the right one. Ove

Production Blog: Edits and Re-Shoots!!

Today we edited our final task a little bit. After we got out film reviewed, we realized there was some things we needed to change. The person who reviewed our film gave us some suggestions on what to change as well as ourselves. We also realized and gave each other suggestions on some things we had to change. First, we started on the computer. We began changing some things relating to editing. In the film review, the reviewer suggested some edits regarding lighting. He said it was too dark in the closet scene. So, what I did is I raised the brightness to the max brightness in the editing program for that scene. But it still did not look how I wanted it too. So, we had to reshoot that scene with the door cracked open a bit and the brightness on my phone turned up higher so we could see the character a little bit better. I re-watched it and was surprised at how much better it looked. Next, we had to do a few re-shoots. We realized the camera angles were a bit basic and bland through the

Film Review

Recently someone I know reviewed my project and gave me some suggestions. I emailed my project to a family friend who lived in another city. I did this so I know they will not be biased. When I sent them the film I also sent them the title and the pitch so they would have an idea as to what it was about. It took them a few days to get back to me and email me back. So, while I waited I put a few little touches on my projects. Once they did email me back their information was very helpful. They gave me a couple suggestions that would make my film better. The suggestions they gave me were about the lighting and some of the camera angles. He said a few scenes needed some better lighting. He said that in some of the shots where Luke was running to find a hiding spot the lighting often changed and it was an eye sore. He also said this about the shots where zane was running. I had a few ideas on how to fix this problem. So I told myself that I would go back and fix it. He also said a few sho
